Speed Up Windows Explorer

Are you having trouble with your Windows Explorer ? Does it take a lot of time to open up, even if your hardware configuration is good ?

If yes, then you can resolve this issue. One thing for sure is that you're on a network, and XP is always monitoring shared resources-a printer, for instance, or a networked folder-so as to establish a connection to those resources easily. But you can correct this thing and turn off the monitoring-and still access shared stuff.

To do so, follow the steps:
1. Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options.
2. Click on the View tab and uncheck 'Automatically search for network folders and printers'.

After doing this, you'll definitely feel some change. Your Explorer would speed up.
